Maximising Expatriation for an ROI

Maximising Expatriation for an ROI

Ask mobility managers their biggest challenge in overcoming some of the barriers to international mobility or providing relocation support, and almost without exception they will say, “when things aren’t working out it’s primarily family issues”.

Aussie Orientation Services and KPMG would like you to join us for an informative session with Dr. Yvonne McNulty, an international academic expert on expatriation and global mobility, who will present findings from her 10-year study of ‘expatriate return on investment’ with a special focus on expatriate families and organizational support.

The presentation will cover:

  • Exposé of the problems relocation creates for spouses, partners and families
  • Causes & outcomes of marital stress, work-life “spillover”, partners’ identity crises & third culture kid challenges
  • Remedial “best practice” strategies for ongoing support programs and cross-cultural training

This important session will show what families need in order to thrive during a relocation (including an extensive list of resources), and why anything other than a “family first” approach by both assignees and the companies that employ them seldom succeeds.
