My Aussie Story: Bala

Continuing with our ‘My Aussie Story’ we had the pleasure of speaking to our newest local business owner Balamurugan, also know as Bala. 

Bala is a talented and extremely hardworking Pastry chef and Baker who moved to Perth, Australia back in 2012. He moved here with his wife and two young children looking to start a beautiful and successful life.

Bala has recently moved into the East Fremantle community with his family bakery. His bakery situated in the Petra St shops (next to Fresh Provisions) is a must-visit with loads of homemade goodness including the ever popular and regularly sold our vanilla slice.

We asked Bala ‘What surprised you about Australia?’ and he said that he was taken back by the kindness and generosity of the Australian people and community. He was also surprised by the sheer beauty of our country and just how peaceful and spacious it is.

For anyone considering moving to Australia he says that it is a great country and wonderful place to live. He hope that everyone that continues to arrive will love and respect it just the way it is, so that those that live here and the new arrivals can continue to enjoy it long into the future.
